Arduino Assisted Plant Leaf Wetness Duration Logger For Fungal Infection Risk Assessment
Code for Arduino R3 Uno plant disease ecology sensor. First code version. Works with DHT-11 temp/rh sensor and FC-37 rain sensor. Key accomplishments. Toggles on/off the rain sensor to save power and reduce heat and corrosion of sampling surface. Integrates Adafruit's SD card shield for RTC timestamping and storage to onboard SD card. Next steps, - Assess power consumption. - Add code to turn off lights on R3 Uno during rest period. - connect to solar powered lithium battery source and build a case.

The goal is to build an inexpensive datalogger to record air temperature, relative humidity, and leaf wetness.
The relationship between leaf wetness duration, air temperature, and relative humidity is well known. The immediate project goals are to build an inexpensive datalogger capable of:
1. Measuring air temperature, relative humidity, and leaf wetness at an accurate timestep.
3. Having sufficient power resources and sleep power management to log at 10 minute interval for a month.
A near future goal is to connect this datalogger with a standard fog collector and log tips of its modified rain gauge tipping bucket.
This project combines Arduino-based plant monitoring (with LCD display and automated watering) and a deep learning model for plant disease detection using images.
A smart plant monitoring and disease detection system combining Arduino-based environmental sensing (temperature, humidity, soil moisture, sunlight) with automated watering and an IoT dashboard, plus a deep learning model for plant disease classification from leaf images.
